At 9:03am on June 19, 2008, Andrea said…: We use time out. Even at a store, if needed. I had to do one at the zoo the other day. Yes, people looked at me, but I don't care. We were right in the middle of the rain forset exhibit. As for a tantrum at home not during a time out, I say, "If you are going to cry, go to your room." Aubyn is stubborn so I have to repeat, take her back in, repeat, take her back in. I don't say anything but that phrase except, "You can come out when you are done crying." Then, when she comes out, she says sorry mama. done now. SO, time out and room time.
