Behavoir with a Child in my class

I have a toddler in my classroom whom i am having difficults with she likes to sratch, bite and hit the other children alot of the times for no reason. No one normally does anything to her I have tried redirecting her to a different activity or whatever it may be and I can't get the girl to stop with this problem. I have talked to her mom about this but it doesn't seem to be working I am needing some kind of help to get this child to stop hurting the children so much it is really starting to stress me out. So if anyone has any bright ideas i can try or ways to talk to her mother on helping her it would be greatly appreciated.

My son was biting and we were told by a family member to wash his mouth out with soap when he does it. Thank goodness we never came to that. I think the reason they bite is out of frustration, excitement etc.. I would encourage the child to use her words and put her in time outs when she does it. I don't think there is much more you can do to someone else's child. Good luck.
